KEY FACTS AND FIGURES
As at December 2015, Gulf African Bank Foundation has supported 1,559 underprivileged students from different backgrounds, faiths and regions under its flagship Shari’ah Bursary Scheme, with the scholarships running for the entire duration of the student’s courses to a tune of Shs 98 million. Currently, there are 695 students under this programme.
During the same period, the foundation sponsored some medical camps in Kenya as well as contributed to several charitable causes such as KSBF and Nairobi Hospice annual charity walk.
On Social economic sphere, we have continuously run Iftar program for the needy families as well as distributed food to some orphanage centers.
Gulf African Bank Foundation was established by Gulf African Bank to create the financial and operational infrastructure for social programs aimed at the low income sector within the Kenyan population and officially launched on 28th May, 2016. This innovative and creative vehicle was formed with an aim of transforming the concept of philanthropy and corporate social responsibility. The Foundation mainly deals with social programs in three thematic areas - education, social economic welfare and health.
